Canon ImageClass MF6550 - The Proficient Office Printer
Canon has produced the imageClass MF6550 to improve the productivity and cost effectiveness of the modern office. This single machine combines the features of a monochrome laser printer, color scanner and digital copier along with a fax machine into one attractive package. A 500 sheet paper tray provides printing stock for the MF6550. This tray holds a full ream of paper. The automatic document feeder will hold 50 originals and can reproduce them in full duplex mode. The best toner for this printer is the ImageClass MF6550 printer toner.
The MF6550 is a machine that produces high quality documents in any mode. The MF6550 is at home in Windows, Linux or Mac environments. This machine is up to any task asked of it and provides a dependable output that has unlimited versatility in the office.
The 500 sheet paper tray holds a full ream of paper. This allows for easy loading, less mess and more productivity in the office. An additional 100 sheet multi purpose tray is provided for other materials including labels, envelopes and transparencies. The 500 sheet paper tray is truly a necessity since the MF6550 can crank out finished product in 1200 X 600 DPI quality at the rate of 23 pages per minute.
In addition to being a high quality printer/copier, the MF6550 is a duplex scanner. This ability built into the MF6550 means that documents do not have to be turned over to scan the reverse side of the document. Simply place the document on the platen and both sides of the document can be scanned automatically. The 50 page automatic feeder can feed the documents into the MF6550 and both sides of the page are available for scanning.
Fax transmission is accomplished through a Super 3G (33.6bps) modem. The speed of this modem substantially reduces the time required to both send and receive fax documents. Large incoming documents are easily handled by the MF6550. The memory for incoming documents will handle 256 pages. Lack of memory is not something that the MF6550 lacks for.
While some manufacturers supply a starter toner cartridge with their laser printers Canon does not with the MF6550. The Canon ImageClass MF6550 toner cartridge that is supplied with this machine has the toner capacity for 5000 pages. The toner cartridge that you receive with the machine is same as the toner cartridge that you will replace it with when it exhausts its supply.
The color scanner function of the MF6550 provides images in the 9600 X 9600 format. These images can be both managed and stored using software included with the MF6550. This software, NewSoft®Presto Page Manager along with ScanSoft®' OmniPage® provides a complete software suite that allows the owner to manage and store images. The ScanSoft®, OmniPage® software allows documents to be transferred to editable text which eliminates the need for retyping the document to enable changes.
Most offices need a printer/copier/scanner/fax machine. There is, in all likelihood no machine that will fulfill these functions as well as the Canon MF6550 and Canon ImageClass MF6550 printer toner. The Canon toner will supply 5,000 printed pages at 5% coverage. This eliminates the need to purchase more toner cartridges. The busy office needs a multifunction machine that can operate without constant supervision. The MF6550 and toner will fulfill that need.
