Kodak PlaySport Zx3, Best While In The Class With The Best Price
Bought a Kodak PlaySport Zx3 recently and find it irresistible.
1. Compared to the latest Flip MinoHD the Kodak's viewing angle is really good. For some reason I always felt that the Flip videos were either too close or too far away from my kid.
2. Color is more natural when compared with the flip.
3. Low light performance is much better than Flip.
4. I prefer hard buttons to the touch interface.
5. Easier to charge using the cable.
6. At 60fps and 720p oahu is the ideal camcorder to shoot small videos of my kid without any subsequent jumpiness.
My main camera for after some duration has been a Canon Powershot 570IS, a fairly good camera which takes nice pictures, nevertheless only does 640X480 videos. I needed a HD camcorder for an affordable price. After some research I selected the Kodak Zx3.
I think the initial thing buyers do when they get this camera is to drop it into a sink brimming with water to see if it's actually waterproof, I can testify it stands up well in my sink. It also works well for me in a range of other ways.
The camera is fun to employ, takes pretty nice pics and vids in decent light conditions, and is easy to use. The battery lasts way longer than my Canon and I have lots of space with my 8GB Sd card. I also bought an extra battery (which I haven't wanted to use yet), a remote control (handy), together with a $5 charger that plugs into the actual wall or my car lighter.
In the $98 I paid for this (undamaged refurbished) photographic camera, there is not a better deal on the planet. My Canon can take better also pictures, but is less handy to tote additionally, the Kodak takes pretty decent stills. Throughout low light, my Canon does a better job, but if I'm shooting in excellent light, the Kodak is the camera I take with you.
The video works good for all of us. If I am shooting a static picture I often use 1080p. If the shot is motion in the least, I use 720p in 60fps. If I have to save storage space I use 720p inside 30fps. Most of the time I end up using 720p in 60fpa. Works beneficial to what I need it for.
It rain a good deal here in Washington state. I generally have to worry about my cell phone and cameras getting wet inside the outdoors, and it makes it difficult to photograph. For the Kodak PlaySport Zx3 there is absolutely no problem, being waterproof. I haven't put into use it submerged, other than in my personal sink yet, but will when spring/summer comes along. In the meantime it's great for the purpose of hikes or any wet and humid place I may want to shoot.
