Samsung Galaxy R Is that the Middle Class is Buying by Thomas Whittle
The Samsung Galaxy R is the phone that is being branded as the cheap alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S2, which is right now one of the phones to buy if you have the cash in your hands. However, for those who are not blessed with the same, the Samsung Galaxy R represents an ideal opportunity to get to know some of the incredible features from the Galaxy S2. Even though this is a smaller and cheaper alternative for the Galaxy S2, it is a phone that will not compromise on some of the important features like performance and design.
Hence, the Galaxy R is very much similar to the Samsung Galaxy S2 in terms of design. While it may be slightly bulkier in terms of the dimensions than the Samsung Galaxy S2, it is certainly very much comparable in terms of every other feature. The phone has the same single hardware buttons in the middle, which is surrounded by the two capacitive buttons. The Galaxy R, though, is slightly smaller than the Galaxy S2 due to the usage of the 4.2 inch display rather than the 4.3 inch unit used in the flagship model. The same applies for the technology used within the display as well. The Samsung Galaxy R utilises the more conventional and much cheaper Super Clear LCD display technology. The presence of the LCD display unit, though, does not affect the quality of the display given the fact that this is a display technology used in many other high profile phones.
The Galaxy R reduces one of the most important features that takes up a lot of the price of the phone - the AMOLED technology. Many calculate that this technology alone will almost reduce 20 percentage of the cost of the Galaxy S2, which is quite substantial saving. The next area where the Galaxy R significantly reduces its features will be in the memory department, where the phone will provide only 8 GB of memory internally. However, the 32 GB support still remains in the phone, which is certainly welcome given the fact that the 8 GB memory will certainly not be enough to take advantage of the amount of entertainment features present in the phone. The usage of the five megapixel camera is also surprising, but the quality of the camera need not be analysed at all given that it is the same unit found in th Galaxy S.
Even though it does not offer the full HD 1080 p video recording facility, the 720 p HD video recording facility will be more than sufficient for the today's usage. The one feature that has not been changed in the Samsung Galaxy R has been the 1.2 GHz dual core processor, although the configuration is slightly different than the one offered by the Galaxy S2. The Galaxy R is very much similar to the Samsung S2 apart from a few features, which makes it a great value for money.
